BUILD INTEGRATION ENGINEER

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Build Integration Engineer to join an automotive business in the Northamptonshire area.

Build Integration Engineer


SALARY

£40,000 - £45,000

THE ROLE


To support the design and development of the vehicle build ensuring the vehicle attributes are aligned to the customers expectations.

This role will actively support the delivery of vehicle programmes, working closely with the development engineers and Chief Engineers to achieve Engineering Sign Off.



RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Providing high level management, oversight and support of engineering build projects for concept and development vehicles.

  • High level overview of shakedown, engineering sign off, development vehicle tracking and maintenance.

  • Management of third parties and suppliers with regards to engineering and change control

  • Working with the Chief Engineers, ensure Engineering Change Control is up to date and support the Chief Engineer with ownership of the Vehicle Build Report

  • Process validation from concept to business wide use

  • Feedback to Engineers on issues and make suggestions for improvement

  • Management and delegation of Build Technicians

  • Any other tasks required for the Engineering team in delivering all vehicle programmes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • Automotive / Motorsport Engineering knowledge and experience

  • Working knowledge of vehicle systems and interactions between components

  • A thorough understanding of automotive systems

  • Proven experience of liaising and presenting to stakeholders at all levels

  • A relevant qualification in Automotive or Motorsport Engineering or relevant experience in the role/sector
