ELECTRICAL BUILD TECHNICIAN

On behalf of our client based in the Midlands, we are actively seeking an Electrical Build Technician to work within a high performance engine environment.

Electrical Build Technician

SALARY

£45,000 - £50,000

LOCATION

Northamptonshire & Warwickshire offices + travel to events as required

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the build of high value Automotive products. Our client is ideally looking for someone with experience of working within motorsport, rally or touring cars, but ultimately Automotive is the main requirement. They require a clear communicator and someone that can work within a fast paced environment where team work is critical.

EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience of working within a low volume vehicle production / motorsport build environment.

• A good understanding of electrical systems preferably with a recognised qualification i.e. City and Guilds. (Training can be provided if you have a good understanding on the mechanical side and want to learn)

• Some experience producing wiring assemblies for high level Motorsport would be preferred.

• Use of electrical test meters and hand tools.

• Able to read /use Wire lists and schematics.

• Assessment, testing and repair of OEM vehicle wiring looms and systems.

• Diagnosis and repair car electrical systems.

• Installation and termination of Autosport, mil spec, Bosch and Molex type connectors.

• Correct use of Raychem DR-25 and other heat shrink products with and without potting compound.

• Able, and willing to work on Mechanical build as, and when required
