We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join an Engineering business in the Oxfordshire area:
JOB TITLE
Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians
SALARY
£45,000 - £50,000
ROLE PURPOSE
Working a shift pattern each day of morning, afternoon & or nights, the Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out Electrical & mechanical reactive maintenance & fault finding including general reactive tasks, PPM, minor general / fabric maintenance, and business support tasks at Multi site locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders
PLC's and PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic, components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet)
Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled to demonstrate compliance
Carry out weekly checks as required, yard checks, fire doors etc
Minor building fabric repairs, decorating and general ad-hoc tasks
EXPERIENCE
Electrical & Mechanical technical knowledge & ability
Apprenticeship / NVQ / BTEC or Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
IOSH Qualification (or equivalent)
High Voltage Experience & Qualifications
Ability to use your initiative and respond quickly to problems
Flexible working approach
Organised, precise and pragmatic approach to working.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain high standards of staff and department presentation, as appropriate for a facility visited by potential customers and other VIP’s.
Significant Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
Good working knowledge of proprietary PC software e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Flexibility around working hours, there may be a requirement to work shifts therefore a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in CMMS & IT skills, ability to communicate in English (written & verbal)
A broad range of practical skills, experience in Electrical & Mechanical and or Multi-skill qualifications.
Able to do the job right first time, within a pre-determined timescale.
You will be positive and proactive in approach, possess good customer service skills and able to work in a fast - paced manufacturing environment
Able to work independently (as well as within a team) so self-motivation is very important as well as being able to organise and prioritise own workload, develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs
Knowledge statutory compliance, Experience in mentoring, developing junior technicians, experience of contractor management
Be physically fit (as the role includes manual handling of items and using ladders)
Clean driving licence
