We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Analyst to join an automotive business in the Northamptonshire area:

Under direct leadership, the NPI Analyst plans, monitors, and achieves new product development goals set forth by the Global Supply management team. Supports new product development as it relates to purchasing activities for systems and parts ranging from supplier selection, cost modelling and project management. Tracks and effectively communicates timelines associated with any issues that arise during the new product development process they are managing. Works closely with engineering and other key stakeholders to ease the process of acquiring materials and/or services that ensure on time delivery of new product introduction within the company’s budget in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and executes supply chain project plans for assigned new product development projects
Solves complex problems and identifies innovative solutions related to supplier issues and purchased components
Manages supplier relationships and performance to achieve program milestones and customer requirements
Assesses supplier related risk and proactively manages risk and escalates when necessary
Works closely with sourcing/procurement, and NPD project teams to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing activities that support sustainable results.
Supports issuing RFI, RFP, RFQ, PO placement and other purchasing activities as needed
Ensures compliance to Singer’s procurement rules and regulations
Buys goods and services for the company
Evaluates price, reliability, quality, technical support and availability of goods and services to ensure lowest total cost of ownership
Negotiates pricing with vendors to reduce total material cost
Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals

EXPERIENCE
Three plus (3+) years of related experience in new product development or as Buyer, Commodity Specialist or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields or equivalent
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and math
Knowledge of procurement strategies
Strong negotiating skills
Proficiency with MRP systems (e.g. Oracle, Fishbowl)
Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing
Prior experience in rapid growth environment
