PROJECT LEAD

Baker and Baker Recruitment are representing a client in the Warwickshire region who are looking for a Project Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

SALARY

£55,000 - £60,000

OBJECTIVES 

• Manage and lead all aspects of assigned projects, supporting Senior Project Leads. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

• Manage all aspect of project scope variances from scope ensuring robust change cost control is maintained.

• Work closely with other managers & Project Leads to ensure the smooth progress of job throughout the business.

• Co-ordinate assigned resources, schedules and activities to ensure all goals are met.

• Act as a technical adviser on key projects and other areas of the business as requested.

• Assist with new sales quoting, procurement of external resource, materials and quality checks.

• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress relating to cost, time & quality.

• Ensure assigned teams have effective targets which are monitored for effectiveness and efficiency.

• Regularly report project progress and quickly communicate change, delays or concerns with the Operations Director. Report on resource overruns or shortfalls.

• Liaise with relevant managers & personnel ensuring all aspects Lean & QM systems are managed and maintained.

• Work with assigned teams on delivering daily tasks & physical deliverables. Acting as role model, appropriate technical skills and pass on knowledge.

• Provide feedback to department managers where staff are not performing to the expected level. Identify where / if additional training should be provided or human resources are informed of trends in performance.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Evidence of strong Project Management and Leadership skills in a variety of situations associated with product delivery.

• Excellent ability to manage and build on client relationship.

• Strong record of ability to manage cross functional teams delivering projects.

• Strong record of ability to deal with conflicting targets and achievement of successful delivery to quality, cost and time

• Knowledge of Project Management, Product Planning and Lean Manufacturing processes

• Understanding of manufacturing systems and processes to support business finding innovative breakthroughs

• Ideally Degree Qualified within Engineering or relevant experience

• Preferable Level 4 and above in Engineering and Management
