BEV SYSTEMS INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Role: BEV Systems Integration Engineer

Location: Warwickshire

Rate: £30+ p/h (Outside IR35)

Hours per week: 40

Duration: 6 Months +


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled BEV Systems Integration Engineer to lead and support the integration of complex systems within our Battery Electric Vehicle platforms. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, and software systems, with a focus on performance, safety, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of vehicle systems including battery packs, power electronics, electric drive units, thermal systems, and control software.

  • Develop and manage system-level requirements and interface specifications.

  • Coordinate with design, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure system      compatibility and performance.

  • Support vehicle-level testing and validation, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 26262, UNECE R100).

  • Manage system integration timelines and deliverables across multiple teams.

  • Utilize tools such as CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink, and vehicle simulation platforms for analysis and validation.

  • Document integration processes and maintain traceability of requirements and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,      Automotive Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive systems integration, preferably in BEV or hybrid vehicles.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, high-voltage systems, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

  • Experience with system modelling and simulation tools.

  • Familiarity with functional safety and cybersecurity standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Tools: AGILE, MATLAB, Simulink, ETAS INCA, MDA, AVL Concerto


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

  • Knowledge of thermal management systems for EVs.

  • Hands-on experience with vehicle testing and diagnostics.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
