JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER

We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Junior Design Engineer to join a design and manufacturing business in the Warwickshire area :

ROLE PURPOSE

This newly created role will provide an excellent platform for a HND qualified candidate, who is keen on building a career in automation design. The successful candidate will be fully trained in the use of Eplan and become part of a highly experienced team. Ideally, you will already have experience with electrical panel build and with some exposure to installations on automation projects.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Sound working knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams to include mains distribution, motor control circuits, variable frequency drives, PLC systems and control panel layouts

• Experience working with industrial networks i.e. ProfiNet, EtherCAT, or EthernetIP

• Full knowledge of the functions of the following basic components used within control systems: Mains Isolators, power supplies, circuit breakers, contactors, control relays, PLC systems, Start Delta starters, variable frequency drives, AC motors, solenoids, proximity switches, laser sensors. Etc.

• Working knowledge and understanding of machine safety systems including emergency stop, guarding, floor scanners, light guards and other machine safety circuits.

• Some experience with Cad systems, ideally Eplan either creating drawings or modifying existing drawings

• Ideally some previous design experience

• HND qualified
