WHAT TO EXPECT
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to support the development and delivery of next-generation Propulsion Systems (XHEV/BEV) for our world-class vehicle portfolio. This role is pivotal in defining, integrating, and validating complex systems comprising both hardware and software components. The successful candidate will contribute to both virtual development and physical validation, ensuring seamless integration of propulsion technologies into our electrified architecture.
Key Performance Indicators:
This role is responsible to support the definition, development and delivery of Propulsion Systems (XHEV/BEV) systems, consisting of multiple hardware and software components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
Timely delivery of system requirements, integration plans, and verification methods.
Effective resolution of system-level issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
Robust DVP execution and sign-off in collaboration with validation and CAE teams.
Accurate and timely reporting of technical issues and key value metrics.
Documentation of system-level lessons learned and continuous improvement actions
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Define and cascade system-level requirements to sub-system/component teams, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and attribute targets.
Develop system logical and physical architectures, operating logic, and integration plans.
Conduct system functional analysis to define expected performance and functionality.
Evaluate and harmonise multiple system design concepts to ensure architectural integrity.
Support the development and execution of system integration tests for verification and validation.
Lead cross-functional technical reviews, balancing stakeholder inputs to deliver optimal customer outcomes.
Provide hands-on technical support for hardware/software integration and issue resolution.
Collaborate with CAE and validation teams to develop and execute robust DVPs (Design Verification Plans).
Ensure all deviations are documented and managed at the vehicle programme level.
Capture and share lessons learned to inform future projects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
Experience in automotive electrified powertrain systems engineering.
Strong background in system definition, architecture, integration, and validation.
Proficient in analysing customer requirements and translating them into system specifications.
Effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proventeam player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Experience applying systems engineering principles and structured problem-solving.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
Degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with diagnostic and data analysis tools (e.g., INCA, CANalyzer, Corvus, MATLAB, Picoscope,MDA).
Class 3 driving permit
