This role is pivotal in defining, integrating, and validating complex systems comprising both hardware and software components. The successful candidate will contribute to both virtual development and physical validation, ensuring seamless integration of propulsion technologies into our electrified architecture.

Key Performance Indicators:

This role is responsible to support the definition, development and delivery of Propulsion Systems (XHEV/BEV) systems, consisting of multiple hardware and software components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

  • Timely delivery of system requirements, integration plans, and verification      methods.

  • Effective resolution of system-level issues using structured problem-solving      techniques.

  • Robust DVP execution and sign-off in collaboration with validation and CAE teams.

  • Accurate and timely reporting of technical issues and key value metrics.

  • Documentation of system-level lessons learned and continuous improvement actions

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Define and cascade system-level requirements to sub-system/component teams,      ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and attribute targets.

  • Develop system logical and physical architectures, operating logic, and      integration plans.

  • Conduct system functional analysis to define expected performance and      functionality.

  • Evaluate and harmonise multiple system design concepts to ensure architectural      integrity.

  • Support the development and execution of system integration tests for verification      and validation.

  • Lead cross-functional technical reviews, balancing stakeholder inputs to      deliver optimal customer outcomes.

  • Provide hands-on technical support for hardware/software integration and issue      resolution.

  • Collaborate with CAE and validation teams to develop and execute robust DVPs (Design      Verification Plans).

  • Ensure all deviations are documented and managed at the vehicle programme level.

  • Capture and share lessons learned to inform future projects.

Key Interactions:

  • Vehicle Engineering

  • Attribute teams

  • Propulsion system sub system and component teams

  • Controls systems

  • Programme/Domain teams
