Role: Principal Process Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: c£70k (Depending on Experience)
Responsible for solutions, design deliverables and technical standards for process engineering designs across the water industry
Job Description
Ensure design team produce design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
Identify appropriate and efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team
Direct and develop engineers and graduates.
Approve design deliverables, DRAs, reports and specifications.
Check and approve mass balance, process sizing and hydraulic calculations and process flow diagrams, control philosphies and commissioning strategies
Guide design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards.
Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
Ensure work is undertaken using formal processes and procedures.
Estimate hours required for design packages
Attend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM meetings and similar
Review, interpret and brief standards, procedures and changes to them. Provide key technical guidance for projects and tenders.
Experience Required
10 years’ relevant design experience in the regulated water industry
Extensive experience and understanding of wastewater unit processes and treatment plant, with experience of delivering process design for wastewater projects
Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level
Good level IT
Chartered engineer
