Salary: £32-£38k (Depending on Experience)
Role Overview
On behalf of our Client, we are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sheetmetal Designer. Ideally you have excellent knowledge, and experience of using SolidWorks.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the production of precision sheet metal products from design through to programming.
While hands-on programming experience is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Design
Create detailed product drawings using CAD/CAM software including SolidWorks.
Develop accurate, production-ready drawings in collaboration with surveyors and estimators.
Support the seamless transition from design to manufacture with precise documentation.
Manage tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
Qualifications / Experience Required
Experience in sheet metal CAD design.
Highly proficient in CAD software, especially Sheetmetal toolsets in SolidWorks.
Knowledge of downstream CAD/CAM process, ideally SigmaNest (or similar).
Strong understanding of sheet metal processes and machine operations.
Familiarity with quality control tools and measuring instruments.
Knowledge of machine troubleshooting and process optimisation.
Nice to have:
Experience in CNC machine tools (Laser Cutters and/or Punching machines)
Turret Punch programming
