Role: Senior Civil Design Engineer - Water
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £65k (Depending on Experience)
Produce design deliverables for civil engineering designs across the water industry
Job Description
Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team
Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.
Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications.
Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards.
Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
Estimate hours required for design packages
Attend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM meetings and similar
Experienced Required
10 years’ relevant design experience in the regulated water industry
Experience in carrying out hydraulic calculations and preparing hydraulic profiles
Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level
Good level IT
Registered with professional body and working towards chartership
